Benefits of Elixinol’s Liposomal CBD Hemp Oil

20:1 Bioavailability

Better taste, better absorption, better value for your money.

Now you can receive cannabinoids into the body faster, deeper and easier than ever before. Elixinol has pre-dissolved their CBD Hemp oil and embedded it into microscopic liposomes. The safe technology allows you to absorb more cannabinoids with the aide of naturally occurring phospholipids which support cellular health and delivery of CBD directly into the cell. With 100% natural fruit and herb extracts it’s a delicious supplement you will enjoy taking daily without a bitter taste.

A 1-ounce bottle of Elixinol™ Liposome contains 300 mg of cannabidiol extract or CBD hemp oil. Suggested serving is 5 dispensable pumps under the tongue or added to water twice a day or as directed. Each serving will provide many valuable nutrients including 5 mg of CBD per serving.

LIPOSOMES

Liposomes are very similar to structures that the body naturally produces called vesicles.

STRUCTURE/FUNCTION

Liposomes and vesicles are tiny hollow spheres that have the ability to carry both water soluble and lipid soluble compounds through the body and through cell membranes.

Liposomes are made from phospholipids which favor uptake into the intestinal lymphatic system bypassing the liver and ensuring maximum blood uptake of CBD.

NATURAL

Natural phospholipids come from three main sources: Sunflower seeds, soybeans, and egg yolk. Elixinol uses the plant-based power of sunflower seeds for lipid absorption.

SOLUBILITY

The wall of the liposome is made from a double-layer of phospholipids. The internal portion of this internal double-layer wall is where lipid-soluble compounds such as CBD are carried.

The inner hollow part of the liposome is filled with water and is where water-soluble compounds are carried. The outer surface of the liposome is also water soluble which allows the liposome to dissolve in water. These features combined result in faster uptake and increased bioavailability.

The Science Behind CBD Bioavailability

Bioavailability is a measure of how much of something makes it through the digestive system into your blood. For example, if you ate a food that contained 100mg of Vitamin C and all 100mg made it into your blood, you would say it is 100% bioavailable.

THE BIOAVAILABILITY OF A SUBSTANCE IS DEPENDENT UPON ITS ABILITY TO DISSOLVE IN WATER

When food is consumed, a cascade of digestive events take place for the purpose of breaking that food down into its component parts so they can be classified, digested, absorbed and distributed throughout the body.

The entire digestive system runs on water. Water is the primary solvent used to digest food, expel waste and the medium that carries nutrients through the body. To a large extent, the bioavailability of a substance is dependent upon its ability to dissolve in water.

Now you can receive cannabinoids into the body faster, deeper and easier than ever before. This CBD Hemp oil is embedded into microscopic liposomes. The safe technology allows you to absorb more cannabinoids with the aide of naturally occurring phospholipids, which support cellular health and also delivery of CBD directly into the cell. With 100% natural fruit and herb extracts, it’s a delicious supplement you will enjoy taking daily without a bitter taste.

A 1-ounce bottle of Elixinol™ Liposome contains 300 mg of cannabidiol extract or CBD hemp oil. A suggested serving is 5 dispensable pumps taken under the tongue or added to water (that is then shaken) twice a day or as directed. Each serving will provide many valuable nutrients including 5 mg of CBD per serving.

CBD Hemp Oil

CBD Hemp oil faces numerous digestive challenges. First is the bitter taste which can make it difficult to keep consuming day after day.

The second key is the speed of digestion and absorption. Once you swallow food and commence the process of digestion, the rest is, for the most part, automatic. Your body will continuously push that food downwards through the stomach, small intestines, large intestines and out the other end. Almost all lipid absorption takes place in the small intestines. Lipids that have not been absorbed are expelled by the body.

Third, CBD Hemp oil is consumed in very small amounts and also on an empty stomach. For example parents may give their child a blob of oil the size of a grain of rice. A small amount of the oil may absorb through the lining of the mouth into the blood (which may be enough to produce the desired effect) but most will slowly pass down into the stomach.

Because the amount consumed is so small, the body may not notice that something requiring digestion has been swallowed and therefore the cascade of digestive events will not be activated.

If it is not consumed with food, it will sit in the stomach doing nothing until fat comes in to get the digestive process moving. If the tiny blob of oil passes into the intestines before that meal comes, it will pass out of the body without being absorbed. Elixinol introduces a more efficient way to consume whole plant CBD Hemp oil.

  1. Is the CBD whole plant CBD?

How is it extracted – what process and what measures of retention after extraction?

What testing is done for insecticides, toxins, and contaminates?

What are the certifications and quality controls on the production lab?

    • Michael,

Thanks for your questions! Elixinol is one of the top CBD companies and they have strict processes and testing in place. All of their products have updated certificates linked to directly from the products page on our site.

Yes, theirs is a full-spectrum hemp oil and is CO2 extracted.

Check out the Lab results. They have a long list of pesticides they test for, as well as molds, fungicides, and heavy metals.

Their testing method is: HPLC-Mass Spectrometry and they use 3M Petrifilm for testing microbiological contamination.

Elixinol is one of the few CBD companies out we strongly promote because of the efficiacy of their product and their strict quality controls.

Please let me know if you have any more questions, and thanks for reaching out!

        Thanks for your thorough response.

Can you give a few points comparing CW to this product?

Are there any user reviews on the liposomal CBD product?

        • Michael,

Thank you for your great questions!

As compared to CW products, the biggest factor is that the CW strain has more THC and I’m not sure how legal it is in all states. CW is a cannabis strain and not a hemp based product. Also, I’ve heard of people reporting more anxiety and other side effects from the CW strain. But, I don’t have any personal experience with it.

Yes, I have been emailed reviews, though people haven’t expressed an interest in having them posted. And, I do have customers who repeatedly purchase the liposomal tincture, and I take that as positive feedback!

  2. Also I’m confused about the product and it’s various descriptions.

Liposomal should be a coating that allows the content, CBD, to pass through the stomach for delivery to the intestines. The operative idea is not to be dissolved by saliva or stomach acids.

But then the bottle label says nothing about liposomal. It says “Extract”

And text below the bottle says rapidly dissolving and later the description says spray under the tongue but a liposomal preparation would resist digestion in that manner.

Where am I going wrong here?
